At Smúz, we believe that a good coffee shop is more than just a place to eat or drink. It can be the start of a relaxed morning. An inspiring afternoon. A place for a long conversation. Or a quiet corner where you can finally be alone with your thoughts.

What we want to give always depends on what you need at the moment. Sometimes energy. Sometimes peace. Sometimes company. Sometimes a little solitude.

We want Smúz to be the living room of Budapest. A place where people not only come, but where it's nice to arrive, where it's nice to stay a while, and where it's natural to return.

Culture in our country not a separate program.

For us, culture is not a calendar of events. Culture is part of the way we host. That's why live music, DJ nights, book launches, wine tastings and community events move to Smúz from time to time.

Not so that something always happens. But so that when something happens, it makes sense.

Smúz awaits its guests at one of Budapest's most unique meeting points, Kossuth Lajos Square. The Parliament Building, the Danube Bank, the Shoes on the Danube Bank Monument, and Budapest's historic city center are all within a few minutes' walk.

From here you can explore the most beautiful side of Budapest – or you can relax here between two experiences. The square is not only an important site in Hungarian history, but also one of the liveliest community spaces in the city.

Tram 2, which runs along the Danube – considered by many to be one of the most beautiful tram lines in the world – passes right next to Smúz. After a cup of coffee or a cocktail, you can continue on your way in a few minutes along the most beautiful panorama of Budapest. This is where Budapesters, people from the countryside and travelers from all over the world meet. And that’s exactly what we love about this place.
