Gastronomic journey
We are waiting for you on the side of the Parliament, next to the Danube,
with a view of the Buda Castle and a truly large terrace.
The building itself, with its unadorned elegance, is an iconic piece of the city,
and it obliges us to carry forward the style that radiates both luxury and casualness, quality, and a relaxed atmosphere.
From the 1940s,
this renowned former café was a gathering spot for the crème de la crème of the Pest citizens and artists.
We borrowed our name, Smúz, from that era, when it was synonymous with relaxed conversations, as we aimed to create a meeting place
where everyone can feel at ease while enjoying coffee, brunch, or lunch, whether sitting on the bustling terrace or looking out at the beautiful square from behind the café’s windows.
There are no restrictions here—you can come alone or with a large group, bring your dog, your bike, or even your canvas. Enjoy the hustle and bustle or hide away in a quiet corner.
We don’t care where you come from, what you believe in, or who you love. We believe in mutual respect and in enjoying every moment of life.
Green and natural
We welcome you with light roast coffees, cocktails, wines, homemade cakes, colorful coffees, breakfast, brunch for lunch, and evening parties. At Smúz, we invite you on a gastronomic journey:
